Being for the benefit of Mr. Sparks

On July 6, 1957, John Lennon and Paul McCartney met at a village fête1 in Woolton. That meeting resulted in the greatest collection of pop music the world has ever known.

On January 26, 2012, David Sparks and Brett Terpstra met at the Macworld/iWorld conference in San Francisco.2 That meeting has now resulted in 60 Mountain Lion Tips, available as both an iBook and a PDF.

Money can’t buy you love, but seven bucks can buy you sixty tips to make your Mac work better.

  1. As best I can tell, the only time Americans use the word fête is when describing this meeting.

  2. David is obviously the Paul in this partnership and Brett the John. Where Merlin Mann, who was at the same conference session, fits into the analogy is still up in the air. I say he’s the Pete Best.
